Two Fans Gain Entry to Champions League Final by Hiding in Stadium Toilet

Neal Remmerie and Senne Haverbeke from Ingelmunster spent 27 hours in a toilet at the Allianz Arena to watch PSG vs Inter.
Ingelmunster, Belgium – Two Belgian football fans, Neal Remmerie and Senne Haverbeke, succeeded in infiltrating the Allianz Arena in Munich prior to the Champions League final by concealing themselves in a stadium toilet for 27 hours.

Their unorthodox method of entry was documented in a TikTok video, illustrating their determined attempt to witness the high-profile match between Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) and Inter Milan without having purchased tickets.

The two young men developed a strategic plan, deciding to access the stadium a day before the final match, as they assessed that the security measures in place by UEFA, the governing body for European football, would make it extremely difficult to break in on the day of the event.

"The plan was to get into the stadium the day before the final.

UEFA security is very good, so trying to break in on the day itself seemed impossible.

Only if we were inside the day before would it work," Remmerie said.

The allure of attending such a significant football event was heightened by the typical difficulties fans face in acquiring tickets at reasonable prices.

Official tickets can be prohibitively expensive on the secondary market, reaching values in the hundreds of pounds, prompting some fans to resort to unconventional methods to secure a live viewing experience.

After successfully entering the stadium, Remmerie expressed that witnessing the match was a highlight of their experience: "It was the most beautiful football match we have ever seen.”

Their actions underscore the lengths to which some football enthusiasts will go to experience a game of such magnitude, reflecting the intense passion surrounding the UEFA Champions League finals.

The match occurred amid a backdrop of strict security protocols and heightened scrutiny regarding fan attendance following various incidents in previous tournaments.
